“Breath of Water” Album Release

· music collaboration

Album release by musician Andrea Vettoretti & Global Network of Water Museums. Contribution of underwater sounds from Lough Ramor Ireland by Michelle Boyle / Victor Horstink. Released March 2026, available at link to end.

Breath of Water is a musical project by Andrea Vettoretti inspired by water as a living presence: fluid, powerful, fragile and essential.
Breath of Water was created in collaboration with the Global Network of Water Museums, a Flagship initiative of UNESCO-IHP, an international network that brings together water museums, institutions and cultural organizations worldwide.
The project is rooted in a shared vision that considers water as a living cultural and environmental heritage. More than 30 countries contributed original water sounds to the project, recorded in oceans, rivers, waterfalls and aquatic landscapes. These sounds were integrated into the album as authentic sonic elements, shaping a collective and global listening experience that reflects the diversity of water cultures around the world.

Water sounds from Lough Ramor by Michelle Boyle / Victor Horstink are included on the track ‘Back to our future’ with contributions from Italy and Mexico.

Andrea Vettoretti is an Italian musician, considered one of the most important guitarists in Europe crossing classic with world experiments.
