This book accompanies the retrospective exhibition of Irish artist Patrick Reel (b. 1935) which was co- curated by Michelle in Dublin Castle State Apartments March 11- Aug 1 2022. The book is compiled/ edited with introductory text by Michelle. Photography by Suella Holland, invited contributors include welcome text by Mary Heffernan OPW, and essays by Tom French (Poet), John O Hagan (Economist) and Oisin Leech (Musician).
Patrick Reel lives in Navan Co. Meath and opened the Oriel Gallery beside his studio in 1976- it is one of the longest running private galleries in Ireland. This book opens the door to this artist’s world through words and images of those who know Patrick Reel and his landmark home and gallery.
